Routers
Situation:
You open the dialer, enter a number, press the red phone, the red
phone turns green and nothing happens
Many times routers
will block the signal that adcalls sends.
You need to enable your Port Forwarding and Port Triggering
The port ranges are 1718-1722 and with port 4569.

Sound Problems/Firewalls
Situation:
You open the dialer, connect with the other person, you can hear them
but they can't hear you
Sound Problems
usually have to do with a firewall or spy ware program. Because of
the way the AdCalls Dialer transmittes its data (sound and such) some
firewalls treat it like a virus or malicious package, hence the blocking.

Vista
Situation:
The dialer is freezing before it opens/"There seems to be a problem
with your internet connectivity"
Windows Vista can be a little touchy
when it comes to allowing programs to access the internet. For the
situation, we suggest right clicking on the desktop icon for the dailer,
and clicking "run as administrator".

Vista Stand Alone Mic
Situation:
You open the dialer, connect with the other person, you can here them
but they can't here you
This problem is common in windows vista, even though
the headset has the same connecting points as a stand alone mic, this
operating system can't recognize the analog headset... we suggest
that you buy a cheap "stand alone" analog mic, from such
companies like CyberAccustic, and can be found in most stores (wallmart,
target..ext) They usually range in price from $5 - $15.
Headsets
We
suggest that you use a "USB" enabled head set. They have
better sound quality.
If you are using a regular analog headset, and you can't hear anything,
we suggest that you check the connection your headset has with the
computer.
Other Reasons
for Dialer Malfunction
If you are
going to the corporate website and downloading the generic dialer,
you will not be able to access the free VOIP service, please reference
one of our agency owners.
If you are using a Satellite company to access your internet
If you have other VOIP programs running such as Skype or Vonage
If you have dial up internet service, anything with a 56k modem or
slower will not work
